Young people in Lagos looking to build practical skills in digital marketing or graphic design can now apply for Cohort 3 of the Design & Digital Marketing School Lagos Program.
The four-week training program is designed to help participants develop practical digital, workplace and soft skills that can support their transition into employment, freelancing or entrepreneurship.
The program is implemented by NerdzFactory Company under the Lagos State Employability Support Project, with support from the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) and GIZ.
Two Digital Skills Tracks Are Available
Participants will be able to choose between two training areas: Graphics Design and Digital Marketing.
The Graphics Design track is focused on developing practical creative skills that can be applied to professional and freelance work, while the Digital Marketing track is designed to equip participants with skills relevant to businesses and the wider digital economy.
Beyond technical training, the program also includes workplace and soft skills development, mentorship and career guidance.
Selected participants will receive a 100 per cent tuition scholarship, meaning there is no tuition fee for the training.
The program also provides internship placement opportunities and practical experience aimed at strengthening participants’ employability.
Previous Cohorts Have Recorded Placements
The program is not starting from scratch.
According to the program information, the first two cohorts trained 196 young people. Of those participants, 183 completed the program, while 147 placements were facilitated across internships, entry-level employment, remote work and entrepreneurship.
That previous outcome is particularly relevant for applicants because the value of skills training is not only in completing a course. For many young people, the bigger question is whether the training can help them move closer to actual work opportunities.
The inclusion of mentorship, workplace skills and internship opportunities suggests that the program is designed to go beyond classroom-based learning.
Who Can Apply?
The program is open to residents of Lagos State who meet the eligibility requirements.
Applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Be residents of Lagos State
- Have a valid Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSARA) ID
- Have completed at least secondary education
- Be available and committed to participating throughout the program
The training will be conducted physically at NerdzFactory HQ, 2B Insha Allah Street, Ramat Crescent, Ogudu GRA, Lagos.
It will run for four weeks, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, with training scheduled to begin on October 5, 2026.
