The Advertising Standard Panel (ASP), the statuary organ of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has concluded plans to host a stakeholders’ forum on the theme ‘Promoting Responsible Advertising in Nigeria”.
The event is scheduled to be held on Thursday, April 25th, 2024, at the Sheba Event Center in Ikeja, Lagos, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Attendance is free as stakeholders in the advertising ecosystem are set to converge to dissect issues of advertising regulation and compliance, issues around ARCON law, professional ethics, vetting guidelines, and the Nigerian Code of Advertising.
Also, the consequences of non-compliance and violations of advertising law will be discussed.
The forum aims to promote a better understanding of ethical advertising practices, and advertising regulations and provide a platform for stakeholders to chart a way forward for the advertising profession in the country.
According to the organisers, the event promises to be memorable, and insightful and will advance the practice of advertising in the country.
