The Rotary Club of Lagos Palm Grove Estate marked yet another milestone in its legacy of service with
the launch of two major community-impact projects at Estate Grammar School and Ilupeju Senior Grammar School. These District Grant-funded projects — the donation of essential medical equipment to a school sick bay and the renovation of 28 toilet facilities for students and teachers — underscore the Club’s commitment to sustainable service and the Rotary mission.


Founded on June 30th, 2008, the Rotary Club of Lagos Palm Grove Estate will celebrate 17 impactful years of service this year. Over nearly two decades, the Club has executed numerous life-changing initiatives across diverse communities, with its signature “Mission for Vision” cataract surgery project standing out as a beacon of hope for thousands.

A Year of Extraordinary Service Across All Rotary Areas of Focus
In the 2024–2025 Rotary Year, the Club successfully delivered projects aligned with all seven Rotary Areas of Focus, which are:



- Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention
- Disease Prevention and Treatment
- Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene
- Maternal and Child Health
- Basic Education and Literacy
- Community Economic Development
- Supporting the Environment
Highlights of the 2024–2025 service year include:
Disease Prevention and Treatment:
o Two major Cataract Eye Surgery missions, restoring
sight to over 1,650 patients
o Four community health camps offering free screenings
and treatments
o Three blood donation drives promoting voluntary blood
donation
Maternal and Child Health:
o Distribution of birthing kits, mosquito nets, and baby
diapers to expectant mothers in underserved areas
Basic Education and Literacy:
o Back-to-School leadership programs to inspire young
minds
o Donation of essential medical and educational
equipment to schools
Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH):
o Renovation of 28 school toilets, significantly improving
hygiene and reducing disease risk
Youth and Leadership Development:
o Sponsorship of students to Rotary Youth Leadership
Academy (RYLA) training
Community Economic Development:
o Food distribution projects supporting vulnerable
community members with staple supplies
o AI training programs for youth, bridging the digital
skills gap
Supporting the Environment:
o Tree Planting at our N.G Patel Park. - A Legacy of Leadership and Service
These projects not only highlight the Club’s strategic focus on sustainability but also its passion for delivering real, measurable change. “This Rotary year has been nothing short of magical,” said Ms. Omoye Evbota, the Irresistible President 2024–2025. “From restoring sight to hundreds, to improving school infrastructure and empowering youth — we are proud to say we have touched every Area of Focus this year.”
She expressed heartfelt appreciation to The Board and Members of Rotary Club of Lagos Palm Grove Estate, “None of these would be possible without the selfless commitment of our Club Board and every member who brought passion, resources, and time to serve.” Rotary District 9111 and its District Governor, Rtn. Dr. Oluwole Kukoyi, for his inspirational leadership,.

As the Club celebrates the successful launch of its District Grant projects, it proudly declares:
