Fidelity Bank Plc has donated essential food items to Modupe Cole Memorial Childcare and Treatment Home School in Akoka, Lagos. This was a bid to alleviate economic hardship and improve the well-being of vulnerable Nigerians,
The initiative aligns with the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) pillars of education and health. It was spearheaded by the Intellect Nexus Class of 2024 under the Fidelity Helping Hands Program (FHHP). This staff-led CSR initiative empowers Fidelity Bank employees to identify community needs, raise funds, and receive matching financial support from the bank to execute impactful projects.
Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head, Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank, reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to supporting its host communities beyond financial services.

“At Fidelity Bank, we recognize the vital relationship we share with the communities we serve. Our CSR programs are designed to address critical social issues, and this donation is a small way to contribute to the remarkable work being done at Modupe Cole Home School”, he said.
Expressing gratitude for the bank’s continued support, Mr. Isiaka Ajani, Vice Principal of the school, described the donation as a significant morale booster.
“We are deeply grateful for these provisions, which reinforce that we are not alone in our mission to educate and care for children with special needs. This institution stands as proof that disability is not inability. Many of our students have excelled academically and gained admission into higher institutions despite their challenges,” he said.
He further highlighted the school’s commitment to holistic education. This includes vocational training in bead-making, hairdressing, and specialized care for residents with severe disabilities. The institution currently caters to 476 children, many of whom have been abandoned by their families.
