Fidelity Bank Plc, one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions, has once again demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility through an outreach programme dedicated to supporting senior citizens at the Old People’s Home in Yaba, Lagos.
The initiative was driven by the Prolific Inductees Class of 2025 under the Fidelity Helping Hands Program (FHHP), the bank’s flagship employee-led Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform. The FHHP empowers staff to identify community needs, raise funds, and receive matching support from the bank to bring those projects to life.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head, Brand and Communications, Fidelity Bank Plc, highlighted the bank’s deep-rooted philosophy of mutual growth and community engagement.
“Our success as a financial institution is built on the trust and support of the people we serve. Without the community, we do not exist. That is why we continually invest in initiatives that uplift lives across all ages and social groups,” he stated.
Dr. Nwagboh noted that the visit to the elderly home was not just about financial or material assistance, but about showing love, dignity, and respect to senior citizens a reflection of Fidelity Bank’s enduring culture of compassion and service to humanity.
The gesture was warmly received by residents of the home, who expressed heartfelt gratitude and offered prayers for the bank’s continued success. One beneficiary said, “God will reward you abundantly and take you higher.”
Through the Fidelity Helping Hands Program, the bank continues to strengthen its legacy as a socially responsible institution proving that true corporate success lies in compassion, trust, and sustained investment in people and communities.
