The BATN Foundation has opened applications for the 2026 edition of its Farmers for the Future (F4F) programme, an initiative designed to empower young Nigerians with the skills, funding, and mentorship needed to build successful agribusiness ventures.
Now in its seventh cohort, the programme targets National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, supporting them to transform agricultural ideas into viable enterprises that can contribute to food security, job creation, and economic development across Nigeria.
Building the Next Generation of Agripreneurs
The Farmers for the Future initiative goes beyond financial support, offering participants structured entrepreneurship training, business development guidance, mentorship, and access to industry networks.
The programme is implemented in partnership with the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) scheme, enabling corps members across the country to participate and develop scalable agribusiness ideas.
₦10 Million Grant Pool
A key highlight of the programme is a ₦10 million equity-free grant pool, which will be awarded to the top six finalists at the end of a competitive selection process.
Participants will go through a structured selection process that includes:
- Business ideation and proposal development
- Virtual training and bootcamps
- Pitch presentations before industry experts
- Final evaluation and selection of winners
Successful candidates will also receive one year of mentorship, technical support, and access to professional networks to support business growth beyond the programme.
