The Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Foundation (DOAMF) proudly announces its 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament scheduled for February 24, 2024, at the Golf Section of Ikoyi Club 1938, Lagos.
This year’s theme, “Sponsor an Indigent but Intelligent Child,” reflects DOAMF’s commitment to uplifting the lives of fifty less privileged children through educational scholarships. For over 16 years, the foundation has been dedicated to addressing challenges faced by the less privileged, especially children and youths, in underserved communities nationwide.
Through partnerships with corporate entities and generous individuals, DOAMF has successfully implemented intervention programs in free healthcare, accident/emergency services, and education. The annual charity golf tournament serves as a key fundraising event, enabling the foundation to positively impact marginalized communities.
In addition to scholarship support, DOAMF conducts vacation counseling, mentorship programs, inter-school debates, and awareness campaigns on issues such as sexual abuse and illicit drug usage. The foundation’s outreach extends to medical services, including free medical camps in Mushin, Inyishi, and Amaimo communities, providing essential supplies to orphaned and abandoned children.
DOAMF BoT Chairman, Obinna Chukwu, highlighted the tournament’s significance as a platform to showcase the foundation’s impactful programs. The event also invites more corporate entities and individuals to participate in supporting disadvantaged communities across regions.
The tournament’s qualifier is set for February 3, 2024, leading up to the main event on February 24. DOAMF expresses gratitude to Ikoyi Club 1938 for its ongoing support in deploying Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) events.
