Mr. Oluigbo brings a distinguished editorial career spanning business journalism and policy discourse
Appointment signals a new phase of institutional growth and editorial authority for Africa’s foremost CSR & Sustainability accountability platform
CSR REPORTERS has announced the appointment of Chuks Emmanuel Oluigbo as its General Editor & Head of Strategy, marking a defining moment in the organisation’s growth as Africa’s foremost platform for CSR accountability and ESG intelligence.
Mr. Oluigbo brings a distinguished editorial career spanning business journalism and policy discourse, having previously served as a senior editorial leader at BusinessDay and as Editor of The Nigerian Observer, where he played a central role in shaping business and policy conversations at the highest levels.
His appointment reflects CSR REPORTERS’ deliberate move to deepen its editorial authority, strengthen its research and intelligence capabilities, and expand its influence across the corporate responsibility and sustainability ecosystem.
Speaking on the appointment, Eche Munonye, Founder and Chief Strategist of CSR REPORTERS, said the organisation is entering a new phase—one that demands stronger editorial leadership and more structured strategic direction.
“This is not just an editorial role. It is about building an institution that can shape how CSR, ESG, and sustainability are understood, measured, and held accountable in Africa. Chuks brings the depth, discipline, and perspective required for that responsibility,” he said.
In his new role, Mr. Oluigbo will lead the organisation’s editorial direction and oversee the development of its research and intelligence function, working closely with senior leadership to align content, strategy, and commercial growth. He will also strengthen flagship platforms including the Social Impact and Sustainability Awards (SISA) and the CSR Impact Rankings.
The appointment comes at a pivotal moment. Demand for credible, evidence-based sustainability reporting and independent ESG verification continues to rise across Africa’s corporate and development landscape—and the organisations shaping that conversation will define the standards by which accountability is measured for years to come.
With this appointment, CSR REPORTERS takes a deliberate step toward becoming not just a platform that reports on corporate responsibility, but the institution that defines its standards in Africa.
