CSR REPORTERS Founder, Eche Munonye, to be Honoured at South-South & South East Achievers Awards 2025
The Chairman and Founder of CSR Reporters, Mr. Eche Munonye, will on Sunday, August 31, 2025, be conferred with a prestigious award at the South-South & South East Achievers Awards, holding at the Golden Land Hotel, Asaba, Delta State.
The event, themed Celebrating Greatness, recognizes trailblazers who have distinguished themselves by contributing to the growth, development, and transformation of their industries and communities.
Mr. Munonye is being recognized for his pioneering work in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability advocacy in Nigeria, where he has built CSR Reporters into the country’s foremost news, advocacy, and consultancy platform dedicated solely to issues of social impact and sustainability.
In recent years, CSR Reporters has become a rallying point for companies, NGOs, government agencies, and communities seeking to advance responsible practices. Through initiatives such as the Social Impact and Sustainability Awards (SISA) and other advocacy platforms, the organization has consistently championed the cause of ethical and responsible business practices, giving visibility to changemakers and holding brands accountable.
Speaking on the recognition, Mr. Munonye expressed humility and gratitude: “This award is not just about me. It is about the movement we have all built together, a movement to ensure that Corporate Social Responsibility is not treated as charity or mere lip service, but as a responsibility that businesses owe to the society and environment that make their operations possible. I dedicate this recognition to all the unsung heroes in communities who remind us why sustainability and social impact must remain at the center of business.”
The organisers of the the South-South & South East Achievers Awards said that the award has over the years become a reputable platform for celebrating excellence across business, governance, and community development. According to them, this year’s edition promises to highlight individuals and organizations whose contributions have had lasting impact in shaping their regions and beyond.
The award ceremony will feature a red-carpet session at 4pm, with the main event scheduled to commence at 5pm at the Golden Land Hotel, Okpanam Road, Asaba.
