Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Dr. Kenneth Onyeneke Nnaji Orizu III, CON, JP, the Igwe of Nnewi, as he marks his momentous 100th birthday.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo described the centenary celebration as a truly historic occasion, honouring a monarch whose six decades on the throne have been defined by wisdom, resilience, and exceptional leadership.
The Governor praised Igwe Orizu III as a symbol of divine grace and longevity, noting that reaching a century in age while still active in royal duties is an extraordinary testament to strength and purpose. “His Royal Majesty remains an embodiment of wisdom and vigour, discharging his responsibilities with the same clarity and foresight that have guided his reign for 62 years,” Soludo remarked.
He lauded the monarch’s enduring contributions to peace, unity, and progress in Nnewi, Anambra State, and Nigeria at large, emphasizing that his leadership has been instrumental in promoting cultural preservation, social stability, and community development.
“Igwe Orizu III has been a voice of reason in challenging times, a bridge-builder among communities, and a pillar of continuity through generations,” the Governor said, adding that his national recognitions including the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) and Justice of the Peace (JP), reflect his outstanding service to humanity.
Governor Soludo concluded by wishing the revered monarch continued health, divine favour, and many more years of impactful leadership, praying that his reign continues to bring peace, prosperity, and growth to Nnewi and Anambra State.
