In a bold step toward bridging Nigeria’s digital divide and nurturing a generation of tech-savvy youth, the Greenwich Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Greenwich Group, has unveiled state of the art ICT laboratories at Ransome Kuti Memorial Junior and Senior Secondary Schools in Lagos.
The newly commissioned facilities each equipped with 24 modern computers are designed to enhance digital literacy, inspire innovation, and prepare students for success in today’s fast evolving, technology driven world.
Speaking during the commissioning, Mrs. Obiageli Chiki-Ijegbulem, Managing Director of Greenwich Registrars & Data Solutions (GRDS), described the initiative as a testament to the Foundation’s long-standing commitment to education and sustainable community development.
“Technology is a powerful equaliser,” Chiki-Ijegbulem noted. “By investing in digital learning, we are empowering young Nigerians with the tools to compete, create, and contribute meaningfully to the global economy.
The ICT Lab project marks the third major education-focused intervention by the Greenwich Foundation, following previous school renovations and infrastructure upgrades aimed at creating conducive learning environments across Lagos State.
In recognition of its sustained impact, the Foundation recently received the Education District Merit Award from the Lagos State Ministry of Education, acknowledging its continuous efforts in advancing public education and youth empowerment.
Supported by subsidiaries across the Greenwich Group Greenwich Registrars & Data Solutions, Greenwich Merchant Bank, Greenwich Trustees, Greenwich Securities, and GTL Properties the Foundation continues to champion projects that promote education, empowerment, and sustainable community growth. With this latest ICT initiative, the Greenwich Foundation reaffirms its mission to equip the next generation with the digital skills, confidence, and creativity needed to power Nigeria’s technological and economic transformation.
