In a show of unity that transcends competition and speaks directly to purpose, three of Nigeria’s biggest beverage brands, Nestlé Nigeria, Seven-Up Bottling Company and Rite Foods Limited, have come together to power the 2025 edition of the Social Impact and Sustainability Awards (SISA), Africa’s foremost celebration of corporate citizenship and positive impact.
The announcement comes as excitement builds for SISA 2025, scheduled for Friday, November 28, at the Shell/Zenith Bank Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos, a night dedicated to honouring brands, individuals and institutions who are driving social change and sustainable development across Nigeria and beyond.
At a time when sustainability conversations are deepening globally, this alliance by the three major players in the same industry signals something bigger than sponsorship. It is a shared commitment to doing business responsibly and using influence to inspire others to do the same.
Nestlé Nigeria, known for its deep-rooted nutrition and community development programmes, recently came on board as Official Beverage Partner. Soon after, Seven-Up Bottling Company, one of Nigeria’s most iconic beverage producers and a consistent driver of youth empowerment initiatives, and Rite Foods Ltd, the proudly Nigerian brand behind Bigi Drinks and Fearless Energy Drink, joined the fold, rounding off a trio of purpose-driven partnerships.
Together, these brands are not just refreshing the night, they are refreshing the conversation on corporate responsibility in Nigeria.
Speaking on the development, Mr. Eche Munonye, Chairman and convener of SISA noted that having three powerhouse beverage brands onboard validates the growing importance of CSR and sustainability in Nigeria’s private sector.
He said: “This development is both symbolic and strategic. It’s not just that big brands are now the official beverage partners for SISA 2025. It is that three of Nigeria’s most influential beverage companies, Nestlé Nigeria, Seven-Up Bottling Company and Rite Foods Ltd, are uniting behind one cause: celebrating and inspiring social impact and sustainability.”
“It all means that what we are seeing is a cultural shift. These brands compete on shelves, but they’re collaborating on values. That’s the true spirit of SISA, inspiring collective action toward a better, more sustainable Nigeria,” Mr. Munonye hinted.
SISA, organised annually by CSR Reporters, has grown to become the gold standard for recognising social impact and sustainability excellence in Nigeria. Each edition brings together top business leaders, policy makers, NGOs, and changemakers under one roof to celebrate those redefining what it means to lead with impact.
Recall that the 2025 edition is already attracting a diverse lineup of partners and sponsors, including BUA Group, MTN Nigeria, Segilola Resources Operating, IPNX, Polysmart, and Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), further cementing its reputation as the ultimate convergence point for sustainability leadership.
As the countdown to November 28 intensifies, CSR Reporters is calling on more purpose-driven organisations to join the movement, seize the visibility and be part of shaping a more responsible and inclusive future.
