Moniepoint has been named among the UK’s top fintech companies, a recognition that goes beyond corporate success to highlight its ongoing commitment to financial inclusion across Africa.
As a leading digital financial services provider, Moniepoint has helped millions of small businesses and individuals access affordable financial tools, bridging gaps for underserved communities. The company’s recognition on the global stage affirms the role African fintechs can play in driving empowerment, reducing inequality, and fostering economic growth.
Moniepoint continues to leverage innovation not only to expand its footprint but also to deepen its social impact supporting entrepreneurs, creating jobs, and enabling financial literacy. This global acknowledgment is therefore not just a business achievement, but a validation of the company’s efforts to create inclusive, people centred progress.
The recognition, curated by CNBC in partnership with research firm Statista, assessed performance indicators such as revenue growth, transaction volume, and capital raised across 2023 and 2024. It comes months after the launch of MonieWorld, Moniepoint’s digital service that provides remittances and financial products for Africans in the international diaspora, with the UK as its first overseas market.
Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer, Tosin Eniolorunda, expressed pride in the achievement, noting the UK’s significance as both a strategic trade partner and a vital remittance corridor for Africa.
Founded in 2015, Moniepoint serves more than 10 million customers, processes over one billion monthly transactions worth over $22 billion, and offers services across digital banking, credit, payments, and business management tools. Its recognition on the UK stage builds on other high-profile accolades, including TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies, CB Insights’ Fintech 100, and the Financial Times’ Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies list for three consecutive years.
