The MTN Foundation has announced the commencement of the sixth phase of its ICT and Business Skills Training, a youth development initiative designed to empower young Nigerian entrepreneurs with digital and business skills to keep their ventures competitive in today’s fast-changing economy.
Targeted at entrepreneurs aged 18–35 who own small businesses less than two years old, the programme will run as a five-week online training featuring Masterclasses from leading industry experts. Eligible participants must be based in Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Niger, or Yobe State.
In partnership with Microsoft and Meta, the training will expose participants to modern business tools:
Microsoft will deliver sessions on Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age, ICT for Business Success, and Generative AI Skills.
Meta will provide training on Building Brands and Growing Businesses Online through its Meta Boost for Small Business platform.
To ensure accessibility, participants will receive free data support throughout the programme. At the end of the training, the top 300 entrepreneurs will share an equipment grant worth N90 million, enabling them to scale their businesses.
Since 2018, the MTN Foundation has implemented five phases of this initiative in partnership with Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Cisco, Google, Digital Bridge Institute, Meta, and Microsoft, reaching over 4,036 young people across 16 states. This sixth edition will extend the Foundation’s impact, engaging an additional 3,000 youth with future-ready skills and resources.
