Eni’s subsidiary, Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited (NAE), has awarded postgraduate scholarships to 30 Nigerians under the 2025/2026 NNPC-NAE PSC Scholarship Awards Scheme, strengthening the country’s pool of skilled professionals in energy and technology sectors.
The 30 beneficiaries were carefully selected from over 1,500 applicants based on academic excellence and performance in a competitive computer-based test. Ten awardees will pursue studies at international universities, while the remaining 20 will advance their education in Nigerian institutions, covering fields such as engineering, geosciences, petroleum and environmental technology, energy economics, renewable energy, and energy transition.
Speaking at the award ceremony in Abuja, NAE Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Fabrizio Bolondi, emphasized that the scholarship reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to education, innovation, and national capacity building. “This initiative empowers Nigerian graduates to acquire cutting edge skills, fostering the next generation of innovators and leaders in the energy sector,” he said.
The scholarship scheme, launched in 2007, has so far benefited 350 graduates, bridging critical skills gaps in deep offshore oil and gas operations while nurturing local talent to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
By equipping these postgraduates with advanced knowledge and practical expertise, Eni is creating a pathway for professional growth, technological innovation, and sustainable industry development in Nigeria.
