NIPCO Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to recognising and rewarding the dedication of its workforce, describing employees as the company’s most valuable asset.
Speaking at the 2024 & 2025 Long Service Awards Ceremony held recently in Lagos, Managing Director Suresh Kumar commended the loyalty and hard work of award recipients, some of whom have been with the organisation since its inception.
Suresh noted that the ceremony reflects NIPCO’s core values and corporate mission, recognising the significant contributions employees have made to the company’s growth across all business segments. He stressed that sustained development, anchored on employee recognition, remains central to NIPCO’s strategy.
“Our long-serving employees have played a key role in NIPCO’s growth, even amid challenges in Nigeria’s downstream sector. Their diligence and loyalty are the backbone of our success,” he said.
The MD urged awardees to continue their exemplary service and mentor younger colleagues, thereby maintaining NIPCO’s reputation for excellence in the downstream oil and gas sector. He also highlighted the company’s ongoing diversification into both hydrocarbon and hospitality industries, urging staff to align with strategic goals that will benefit all stakeholders.
Responding on behalf of the awardees, Khamal Badmus, recipient of the 20 Years Meritorious Service Award, expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that the annual event serves as a strong morale booster for employees.
Suresh concluded by thanking the entire workforce for their resilience, commitment, and contributions to NIPCO’s continued success, assuring them that outstanding dedication will always be acknowledged and rewarded.
