Lagos, Nigeria Rite Foods Limited, Nigeria’s leading food and beverage company, has reaffirmed its dedication to youth empowerment and mentorship through its partnership with Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) for the 2025 WIMBIZ Big Sister Programme, held at Majidun Senior Grammar School, Ikorodu.
The WIMBIZ Big Sister Programme is an annual initiative designed to mentor and inspire young girls, equipping them with the knowledge, confidence, and values needed to excel in academics, careers, and personal development.
Speaking on behalf of Rite Foods Limited, Olukemi Ogunsakin, Corporate Communications Manager, encouraged the students to embrace resilience, resourcefulness, and adaptability as they navigate life’s challenges.
“At Rite Foods, we believe in supporting platforms that shape the future of our nation. By mentoring young girls on confidence, career, and entrepreneurship, we are helping to build a generation of strong, capable, and visionary leaders. Our involvement in the WIMBIZ Big Sister Programme reflects our belief that when we invest in young people, we invest in Nigeria’s brighter future,” Ogunsakin said.
Adding her voice, Olabisi Adebisi Opatade, Legal Counsel, Rite Foods Limited, urged the students to choose their career paths with clarity and courage.
“The courage to choose wisely comes from self discovery. When you know your values, embrace your strengths, and confront your weaknesses, you open the door to a career that is truly yours,” she advised.
Rite Foods’ partnership with WIMBIZ underscores its broader commitment to mentorship, youth development, and empowerment. The initiative aligns with the company’s EYEC sustainability framework focusing on Education, Youth Empowerment, Environmental Stewardship, and Community Development. Through this framework, Rite Foods continues to create opportunities that nurture talent, inspire growth, and foster inclusion.
Beyond the WIMBIZ partnership, Rite Foods has implemented several educational and empowerment programmes. In May 2025, the company donated educational materials including school bags and exercise books to over 2,000 students across Ogun, Lagos, and Abuja, further demonstrating its commitment to improving the lives of young Nigerians.
