The 20th Corporate Governance Conference of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria (SCGN) will spotlight ethical leadership, accountability, and sustainable practices in Nigeria and beyond. Scheduled to hold in Lagos, the conference carries the theme: “Strengthening Ethical Governance in a Disrupted World Reflections on the Governance Journey for a Sustainable Future.”
Marking two decades of promoting integrity and responsible leadership, the event will bring together regulators, board leaders, and governance professionals to explore practical strategies for building resilient, future-ready institutions.
Discussions will focus on how organizations can remain ethical and sustainable amid global disruption, balancing innovation with accountability. Topics will include the impact of artificial intelligence, ESG priorities, and other transformative trends reshaping governance and corporate strategy.
Keynote speakers include Dr. Omobola Johnson, former Minister of Communication Technology and Board Chair, Guinness Nigeria Plc; Dr. Emomotimi Agama, DG, SEC; Mr. Temi Popoola, GMD/CEO, NGX Group; and Dr. Rabiu Olowo, Executive Secretary, FRCN, among others.
SCGN CEO, Mrs. Chioma Mordi, emphasized that the anniversary conference is not only a celebration of past achievements but also a call to action for boards, regulators, and businesses to embed accountability, innovation, and sustainability into governance culture.
The conference will also introduce the inaugural Corporate Governance Awards, recognizing leaders and institutions that have championed integrity, sustainable growth, and innovative governance over the years.
