For families navigating healthcare costs, food insecurity and limited economic opportunities, community support can make a practical difference. In Ibadan, Oyo State, an annual outreach is set to bring several forms of assistance together under one programme.
Love in Action 3.0, an initiative of Transformation Haven Caring Hearts Foundation, is scheduled for December 5, 2026, at the Oyo State Broadcasting Station (BCOS), Ile-Akede, Orita-Basorun, Ibadan.
The programme will combine a free medical outreach with vocational empowerment, food distribution, educational support, clothing assistance and activities for children.
Rather than focusing on a single area of need, the initiative is designed to respond to different challenges facing vulnerable individuals and families. The foundation has described the annual outreach as an opportunity to demonstrate compassion through practical support.
Healthcare Meets Community Support

Healthcare is one of the central components of Love in Action 3.0. The planned medical outreach will provide free healthcare support to members of the community. For families already dealing with financial pressure, access to basic healthcare can also become difficult when medical expenses compete with food, education and household needs.
By including healthcare alongside other forms of assistance, the outreach takes a broader approach to community wellbeing.
The programme will also include food bank distribution for people in need. The initiative reflects the foundation’s wider work supporting vulnerable children, widows and struggling families through food programmes, welfare assistance and other interventions.
Skills That Can Outlast the Outreach

One of the more significant elements of Love in Action 3.0 is the planned graduation ceremony for people who have completed vocational skills training at the foundation’s centre. This adds a longer-term dimension to the programme.
Food and healthcare can address immediate needs. Skills, however, can help people create opportunities beyond a single outreach day.
According to the foundation, its vocational training centre was established to equip young adults with practical, income-generating skills that can support financial independence and self-reliance. Its current training areas include fashion design, wig and hair making, Adire making, bag making, music and data analysis, alongside other vocational and entrepreneurial skills.
The foundation’s website also identifies vocational training as part of its broader approach to employability, entrepreneurship and self-reliance among youths and adults. The graduation at Love in Action 3.0 will therefore provide an opportunity to recognise beneficiaries who have moved through that training process and completed their programmes.
School Bags, Clothing and Food for Families

Children will also feature in the December outreach. As part of the programme, 250 school bags are scheduled to be distributed. A clothing drive and food bank distribution are also planned, extending the initiative beyond healthcare and skills development.
For households under financial pressure, these forms of support can ease some of the everyday costs associated with raising children and meeting basic needs.
The foundation’s wider projects include education, food bank and clothing initiatives, alongside empowerment and vocational training. This work is an effort to support vulnerable communities with education, food, care and opportunities for greater independence.
Love in Action 3.0 brings several of those areas together in one community programme.
Empowerment for Youths and Widows
The outreach will also feature empowerment initiatives for youths and widows. Transformation Haven Caring Hearts Foundation supports widows through skills training, financial support and access to healthcare, with the broader aim of helping vulnerable individuals rebuild their livelihoods and regain independence.
For young people, the foundation’s vocational programme provides another route into practical skills and entrepreneurship.
This combination is particularly relevant to community development because empowerment does not have to mean a single intervention. Access to skills, healthcare, food and educational resources can address different pressures within the same household or community.
Love in Action A Day of Support and Celebration

Love in Action 3.0 will also include a Santa Claus appearance, bringing a festive element to the outreach. A raffle draw is planned for volunteers and beneficiaries. For the foundation, however, the significance of the event goes beyond the activities scheduled for the day.
The organisation describes Love in Action as its “Shiloh Ground”, an annual opportunity to reach people in need and demonstrate compassion through action. That description captures the philosophy behind the programme: support is not limited to giving out items. It also involves creating opportunities, recognising progress and showing up for people who may need assistance in different ways.
Building Support Around Community Needs

Transformation Haven Caring Hearts Foundation’s mission is centred on education, empowerment, support and partnerships aimed at sustainable community development.
Love in Action 3.0 reflects that approach through a programme that brings immediate relief and longer-term empowerment into the same space. Members of the public and organisations interested in supporting the initiative can contribute through the foundation’s official channels.

As Love in Action 3.0 approaches, the initiative offers a reminder that community impact can take several forms. Sometimes it is a medical consultation. At other times, it is a school bag, a meal, a useful skill or simply the knowledge that someone cared enough to show up.
CSR Reporters will continue to spotlight initiatives creating practical pathways for stronger, more supported communities across Nigeria.
