The Nigeria Police Force has reaffirmed its partnership with Dangote Cement Plc, commending the company’s far-reaching social interventions and renewing collaboration to enhance security, peace, and economic development nationwide.
During a visit to Dangote’s Obajana plant, Assistant Inspector General of Police (Zone 8), Abubakar Zubairu, praised the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, noting its investments worth billions of naira in host communities.
“I am really impressed by your CSR schemes. Dangote Cement provides jobs for Nigerians and remains responsible and responsive to the communities and the nation,” Zubairu said.
He stressed that the Police remain committed to protecting lives, property, and critical national assets, underscoring that businesses like Dangote Cement play a vital role in Nigeria’s growth and stability.
Welcoming the visit, Plant Director, Nawabuddin Azad, described it as a powerful symbol of commitment and partnership.
“Without security, there can be no production, and without production, no prosperity. The wheels of our company turn not just on power and raw materials, but on peace and security,” he said.
Azad called for deeper collaboration in intelligence sharing, empowering local divisions, and fostering stronger trust between the Police, host communities, and the company.
The partnership builds on a long-standing relationship: in 2018, the Aliko Dangote Foundation donated 150 operational vehicles to the Police, followed by another 25 vehicles in recent years making Dangote Cement one of the Force’s largest corporate donors in history.
