More than 80 companies are scaling up investments in Nigeria’s expanding urban infrastructure sector, with new opportunities for jobs and skills development following the successful Lift Expo Nigeria 2025 in Lagos.
The exhibition Africa’s largest showcase for elevators and escalators brought together over 2,500 industry professionals, investors, and developers from 15 countries.
Organised by Expert International Fairs Org. Co. in partnership with Mena Management, the expo highlighted how cutting edge technologies in vertical mobility, smart city planning, and energy-efficient designs will directly support employment in construction, engineering, and real estate.
Chief Executive Officer of Expert Fairs, Riza Ozdemir, said the expo has positioned Nigeria as a hub for infrastructure innovation, noting that firms were now exploring partnerships that would not only strengthen market presence but also create thousands of jobs across value chains.
With private roundtables and technical sessions on safety, innovation and sustainability, the expo created pathways for upskilling local talent and equipping young professionals with global-standard expertise in smart mobility solutions.
Public Relations Lead for the exhibition, Bassey Bassey, said: “This event was more than a showcase; it was a catalyst for economic opportunity. By attracting top firms into Nigeria’s urban infrastructure space, we are opening up new avenues for employment, training, and long-term growth.”
Organisers confirmed that a second edition of Lift Expo Nigeria is already in the works, with a stronger focus on innovation, safety, and sustainability and even greater potential to generate new jobs for Nigerians.
