SUNNY JOSEPH IMOHIMI RECOGNISED AT SISA 2025 FOR ADVANCING TRUSTED DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND INCLUSIVE TECHNOLOGY IN AFRICA

LAGOS, NIGERIA – Technology growth leader and entrepreneur, Sunny Joseph Imohimi, has been honoured with the CSR in Tech and Innovation Award at the 2025 Social Impact and Sustainability Awards (SISA), in recognition of his contributions to advancing trusted digital infrastructure, financial inclusion, and technology-driven social impact across Africa.

The award, presented by CSR REPORTERS, Africa’s foremost platform for corporate responsibility, sustainability, and social impact, celebrates leaders whose work demonstrates how technology can be harnessed to solve real-world challenges, expand opportunities, and improve lives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Eche Munonye, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CSR REPORTERS, described Imohimi as one of Africa’s technology leaders whose work continues to bridge innovation with meaningful social value.

The recognition reflects Imohimi’s contributions to Africa’s evolving technology ecosystem. As Growth and Operations Manager for P2P Africa at Binance, he played a key role in expanding trusted payment infrastructure across the continent by supporting the rollout of automated payment verification solutions that helped reduce payment-verification friction, improve transaction confidence, and strengthen trust for users and merchants across African P2P markets.

His work also focused on adapting global financial technology innovations to African markets by supporting merchant education, strengthening local payment partnerships, and ensuring products reflected the realities of the continent’s diverse banking ecosystems.

Beyond fintech, through Arkcess Technology Limited, he has championed smart access control and residential technology solutions designed to simplify estate and community management while improving security and convenience for residents. Earlier in his career, he also contributed to expanding digital mobility infrastructure in Nigeria, reinforcing his commitment to developing technology that creates practical value for people, businesses, and communities.
