The Lord’s Achievers Awards has once again spotlighted excellence, honouring a new class of visionary leaders and changemakers at its seventh edition, themed “Icons of Impact.” Held at the Monarch Events Centre, Lekki, the prestigious event celebrated 12 exceptional individuals whose work continues to shape Nigeria’s future through innovation, creativity, and social impact.
Powered by Lord’s London Dry Gin, the awards recognised achievements across diverse sectors including finance, journalism, literature, film, visual arts, sports, health, agriculture, technology, fashion, and content creation reflecting a deep appreciation for Nigeria’s dynamic and resilient youth.
A defining highlight of the evening was the inaugural Lord of the City Award, presented to Ife Durosinmi-Etti, founder of Herconomy, in recognition of her historic triple win at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Her award-winning campaign on breastmilk financing resonated globally and set a new benchmark for purpose driven innovation.
Over the years, the Lord’s Achievers Awards has honoured more than 70 trailblazing Nigerians, including the likes of Layi Wasabi, Adejoke Lasisi, and Kennedy Ekezie-Joseph, whose journeys continue to inspire a new generation of leaders.
Oluwagbemileke Lawal, Marketing Manager at Nigeria Distilleries Limited, described the initiative as an investment in Nigeria’s future, saying:
“This platform is not just about recognition, it’s about lighting the path forward for others. Our honourees are symbols of courage, creativity, and impact.”
A distinguished jury of thought leaders and industry experts including Stephanie Busari (CNN), Chuka Obi (Globacom), Titilope Adesanya (EMPIRE), and Femi Taiwo (F.I.T Africa) ensured the credibility and integrity of the selection process.
