Ministers, regulators, and leading industry executives will converge in Lagos on October 9, 2025, for the Annual NAEC Energy Conference, a policy and investment forum designed to address Nigeria’s evolving energy landscape.
Organised by the Association of Energy Correspondents of Nigeria (NAEC), this year’s theme is “Nigeria’s Energy Future: Exploring Opportunities and Addressing Risks for Sustainable Growth.”
Keynote speakers include the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri; the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo; the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu; the Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Gbenga Komolafe; the Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Farouk Ahmed; and the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Bayo Ojulari.
The conference will provide a platform for dialogue on investment, regulation, and reforms across the energy value chain. Three panel sessions will dissect upstream growth, midstream and downstream infrastructure development, and power sector reforms focusing on strategies to attract capital, drive local content, and ensure sustainability.
Dr. Uche Ogah, President of Masters Energy Group, will chair the conference, while the maiden NAEC Industry Awards will also be unveiled to recognise excellence in the sector.
Other confirmed participants include the Executive Secretaries of NCDMB and NEITI, top executives from Seplat Energy, Heirs Energies, Renaissance, Niger Delta Power Holding Company, Egbin Power Plc, and the Major Energies Association of Nigeria, among others.
According to the Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee, Dr. Adeola Yusuf, the 2025 edition will also feature a pre-conference workshop for NAEC members, sponsored by a leading Nigerian energy company, further underlining the industry’s commitment to knowledge and capacity development.
